Hello fellow IRC'ers! First of all, thanks for taking the time to visit this
page. This page was built at the request of several #Brunei users and so, VOILA! here it
is...
OK, lets begin with a brief history of the #Brunei
Channel. It was first registered on 28th January 1996. 
I
registered the channel with the Undernet after seeing that there was no specific channel
where Bruneian users could meet up and just chat. Anyway, after more than two years, the
channel has transformed into a substantial entity with a user base of at least 150 to 200
at last count and has even become a target for the unwanted attention of flooders and
nukers!! Quite a change from the two or three of us who used to hang out there when it
first started.
Anyway, the channel is run by a number of channel
operators or OPS as they are usually called. These are the dewd
and dewdettes who help me run the channel and keep its good name in the books of the kind
people at the Undernet Channel Service who have
graciously hosted the channel.
So what do we chat about, I hear you ask... Well,
everything under the sun really. There is a wide variety of people that come into the
Channel, from College Students studying overseas to people like me, local professionals
who are enthusiasts. We update each other on news and happenings both here and abroad.
